What Does Nationwide Home Insurance Cover?

Want cover for your devices and other personal possessions when you take them away from home anywhere? Then look into adding Out & About Cover from Nationwide as an optional extra. This covers your products within the British Isles (the UK, Republic of Ireland and surrounding islands) plus up to 90 days worldwide.

With Out and About cover, you can choose the level of cover needed between £2,500 to £15,000 for everyday items. Nationwide will pay up to £2,000 for each individual item. But you can let them know if you want to take something worth more than £2,000 out and about with you. They will also pay up to £2,000 for items stolen from cars.

Alternatively, you can make a claim online. If the claim is submitted before 12pm Nationwide will call you that day. If it’s after 12pm and they will contact you by 12pm the following day. Operating times are 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Saturday.

Nationwide partners with a company called CET to provide Home Emergency Cover. They are to help you if your home is unsafe or insecure. Furthermore, if your home or contents are in the process of being damaged or you have lost your main source of heating, lighting or water.

If you add Home Emergency Cover to your policy, Nationwide will cover repairs up to £500. Even if you haven’t, they can still help you get the advice and support you need, but you’ll need to pay for any repairs.
